Interpreter Certification Process

 

Interpreters Unlimited has over 40 years of experience providing interpretation services across multiple industries. This wide breadth of experience allowed us to develop a deep understanding of how to screen and qualify interpreters. At Interpreters Unlimited we ensure that all of our interpreters have all the necessary training and certifications (when applicable) to provide the most accurate interpretations and translations. In addition to language proficiency and subject matter understanding, we also verify dialect fluency and cultural competency, as all of these factors play a pivotal role in an interpreting.

 

At Interpreters Unlimited we evaluate and certify each interpreter we utilize. In addition to our interpreter screening process, we conduct training programs for all new IU interpreters. Additional industry-specific training programs are provided for interpreters who will be working in health & human services sectors (medical, dental, mental health, legal). After the training and evaluation process, we are then able to assign to the translation or interpretation project that is best suited to their abilities.
